8 Ways to Reuse your Mama Lam’s Glass Jars!

You finished your jar of Mama Lam’s…. now what? Other than recycling with your other recyclables, the glass jars can be reused. Just remove the label and clean the jar and cap with soap and water, let it dry and start reusing them! Here are some ideas to get you started:

  1. Use it to jar your spices or teas!

    Sometimes, spices come in large packets and you usually need a container to store it. The best way to maintain the quality is to ensure it is stored in an airtight container, in a dark and cool area – usually the pantry. The glass jars are perfect for storing spices or teas since it is not porous and will have a tighter closure than plastic.

  2. Keep your spare change in them

    You know how spare change just adds up sometimes and you don’t know where to put them except in the drawer? Well to organize yourself, you can put the coins in the glass jars on top of your dresser now.

  3. Store your leftovers

    Did you make too much soup or sauce? Or maybe salsa? You can use the glass jars to store the leftovers for the next time you want to eat it or use it! The jars keep the quality of the product fresh in the fridge and it’s a clear container, so you won’t forget what is in it.

  4. Use as a salad dressing container

    Who likes a soggy salad? No one really. Instead of buying salad dressing containers, just use the 2 oz or 4 oz jars to carry your dressing to the park or work. If you made a big batch of dressing, you could store it in the 8 oz jar for the week and refill your smaller jars daily.

  5. Start or grow your herb garden

    You could start growing herbs in your kitchen with the jars! Or propagate your plants with the glass jars in water. Since it’s clear glass, you can keep an eye on the water and if roots are growing.

  6. Make overnight oats or fruit parfaits

    You don’t have to buy mason jars or use a bowl anymore! Just keep it in the glass jars overnight and the next morning, you can take it with you on the go.

    If overnight oats isn’t your thing, you could also try making fruit and yogurt parfaits. The best thing is you can make them ahead of time and store in the fridge for the week.

  7. Use it as a q-tip or cotton ball holders

    Nowadays, there are some very cute Q-tip or cotton ball holders. But why buy one when you can just use the jars to hold your Q-tip and cotton balls? It’s small enough to fit in your medicine cabinet. It’s clear glass, so you can see what you’re reaching for.

  8. Make homemade candles

    This is for the crafty people but you can reuse the jars to make candles at home or for friends and family. We hear all you need is wax, a wick and a jar – which you already have!
